Call For Speakers!!!



Bariatric Paths ​is seeking dynamic and inspiring speakers to share their expertise and experiences with our attendees. If you are a healthcare professional, bariatric patient, or industry expert with valuable insights to share, we encourage you to submit a proposal. 

Types of Sessions:

    • Workshop: 60 minute standard presentation with slides on a general bariatric topic.
    • MyPath Connect: 60 minute informal group discussion with peers on the same Bariatric Path led by a moderator.
    • Panel Discussion: 60-75 minute presentation focusing on a bariatric topic, presented by 2-4 panelists.
    • Q&A: 60 minute discussion that allows attendees to ask questions about a bariatric topic

Submission Guidelines

    • Topic: Your proposed topic should align with the overall theme of the conference and be relevant to our target audience.
    • Description: Submit a 250-word description summarizing your presentation and include at least 3 learning objectives. 
    • Speaker Bio: Provide a brief biography highlighting your qualifications, experience, and expertise in the field of bariatric care.
    • Presentation Format: Indicate your preferred presentation format (e.g. workshop, panel discussion).

Submission Deadline

​All speaker proposals must be submitted by May 30,2025.

Selection Process

    ​​1st Round: A review committee will evaluate all submissions based on the following criteria:

      • Relevance to the conference theme
      • Speaker qualifications and experience
      • Quality of the abstract
      • Potential impact on attendees

    ​​2nd Round: Short Video Submission

      • If selected, you will receive an email requesting you to upload a Video. Videos can be an existing video of a previous session or a simple new video clip.  
      • If you are creating a new video clip, we would suggest that you introduce yourself and communicate why and how attending your session will help attendees on their bariatric journey. Although a 'video' clip is required, this can be a simple 1 - 3 minute clip from your webcam or camera phone discussing your topic and why you look forward to presenting it at the Bariatric Paths Conference. 

    Acceptance and Notification Process

    ​​ Within 2 weeks of submission, speakers who are selected will be contacted via email by Bariatric Paths with a session time slot as well as a Speaker Agreement to review and sign. You will have two weeks to confirm and submit a signed agreement. 

    ​​Selected speakers agree to provide educational content only and must abide by the Bariatric Paths Speaker Agreement. If you have any questions, email info@baritaricpaths.com

    Benefits of Speaking

    ​By becoming a speaker at a bariatric conference, you can benefit from increased visibility, networking opportunities, personal and professional growth, and the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

            • All selected speakers receive a complimentary registration to the event.
            • Speakers gain increased visibility throughout the bariatric community.  Your insights can help others on their weight loss journeys.
            • Speakers and their companies and organizations are included in promotional information sent to attendees via hard copy brochures and other marketing material, the Bariatric Paths web site, press releases and other publicity outlets.
            • Speakers have the opportunity to network with peers and other professionals at specifically designed points throughout the event.

    Speaker Expense Reimbursement

    ​In appreciation for all the hard work and effort, Bariatric Paths offers speakers one (1) complimentary registration for the conference per session. Complimentary registration is not transferable or able to be used as a credit. If multiple speakers are presenting, Bariatric Paths offers one (1) additional complimentary conference registration if presentation materials are submitted by deadlines outlined in the speaker agreement. In addition, Bariatric Paths recognizes speakers and their companies as “conference supporters” in conference literature distributed to delegates.
